It's a girl!

I am about to be one of nine.  NINE.  That's right.  My stepmom is pregnant again and we are super excited!

I finally got a picture with all my siblings a couple of years ago and who knows when all nine of us will be together again.  Right now we are spread out across four states (Hawaii, California, Texas, Alabama).  It looks like the baby is a little girl which tips the balance in the ladies favor five to four.

Often I'm asked what "type" of sibling this is.  After all, I have every type of sibling other than adopted: full, half, and step.  But I honestly love and care about all eight exactly the same.

Matt and I are hopefully going to visit Hawaii at the end of August to meet my sister and hopefully allow Emily to take a well deserved nap each day :)

Last night...

Last night was the world premiere of Blue Like Jazz at the South by Southwest Film Festival!  I haven't gotten much news from the night yet, but you can see from the video below that the crowd was pretty excited about it.  Plus, I cannot tell you how cool it is for me to see that marquee sign after almost 4 years of working on this movie.  T-minus 30 days until our theatrical release!

We'd Love to See You in Portland

Earlier this week, Matt and I finally booked our travel arrangements for Portland to attend the official premiere of Blue Like Jazz.  It's crazy to think that this project Matt has been tied to since 2008 (!) is at last coming out for the world to see.

We wish we could be in Austin next week for South by Southwest to see it screened there but we are pumped we are able to go to Portland and hang out with everyone who made the movie possible (well, not everyone).
