A Long Time Coming

In December of 2008 I auditioned for the film version of Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz.  This was already something remarkable, because my story with this movie started with an email to the film's director of photography.  His was the only email I could find associated with the project.  He passed my information on to the director, and by an unheard of turn of events in the film industry, the director called me and asked me to come to Nashville to audition.

I auditioned for 3 roles and didn't book any of them.  Again, in a completely impossible turn of events the director called me, told me he wanted me to be involved, and would I come back to Nashville to audition for another part.  And oh yeah, could I do a Russian accent.  I quickly said of course, then promptly found an accent coach.  Fast forward through 4 years of excitement, disappointment, insurmountable financial problems, crushed hopes and renewed hopes, and here we are on April 12th.  The day before Blue Like Jazz is released in theaters nationwide.

Me and Steve Taylor, the director of Blue Like Jazz, on set.
You will finally get to see the work we did on Blue Like Jazz.

2011? Ha.
"Coming Soon" was starting to seem like a cruel joke.
But here's where you come in.  If the film does well at the box office opening weekend, it will continue to open in more and more theaters in more and more cities across the country.  You can click here to find an exact list of every city and theater in which it's playing.

Thank you for your support.  It means SO much!
